It's time to get out and enjoy our surroundings, whatever the weather.
It is a great mindfull experience, healthy and can be combined with walking and taking life at a slower pace, to unwind.
Join Ginny Whittle on painting and walking excursions to The Lake District National Park and Teesdale.
Castle Rigg Lake District National Park 17th August 10.30am to lunch time, £47.00. Then in the afternoon join a short walk or spend the time in Keswick shopping.
Low Force Teesdale 24th August 10.30am, £20.00 for two hours.
Cafe and toilets at Bowlees Visitors Centre.
Patterdale Lake District National Park 5th October 10:30am, £70.00 all day medium height walk in Patterdale, with sketching and painting along the way.
Borrowdale Lake District National Park two visits 12th and 18th October 10:30am, £70.00 all day sketch and walk (minimum walking).

Ginny is Mountain Leader trained with many years experience walking and climbing in summer and winter in the Lake District and Scottish Highlands and holds an Outdoor First Aid qualification.

I am a tutor of many years standing, having taught Adults for the County, an Artist in Printmaking and Painting, with a teaching qualification and a Degree in Fine Arts. I have exhibited locally and nationally.
My inspiration is the landscapes of Yorkshire, The Lake District, Scotland, wildlife, and my Dog, I spent time outdoors painting and sketching some times in remote landscapes.

The Bridge is a short drive from Darlington Town Centre, with free parking available on-site and in the surrounding area.
There is also a covered space to store bicycles.
A number of Arriva buses stop outside The Bridge, including numbers: 2, 3B and 12
We're a ten minute walk from Darlington Train Station. From the Yarm Road entrance to the station, turn right onto Yarm Road (walking away from the town centre), and follow the road towards the corner of Hundens Lane.
Our building is fully accessible including disabled facilities.
Dropped curbs are in use in the surrounding area for wheelchair access to the building.

The Bridge provides a vibrant community led venue to support artists and encourage visual arts involvement for Darlington. Many artists who had a presence at the Darlington Arts Centre can now be found at The Bridge Centre. It is also the home of other arts-based organisations.
