Our happiest announcement for a long time- The Bridge is reopening to all
The Board of The Bridge is delighted to announce the following timetable for reopening:-
From Saturday 3rd July all year round monthly groups can restart.
From Monday 5th July all year round weekly groups can restart.
From Monday 5th July we will accept one off bookings for workshops, events, etc.
From the Autumn Term (Monday 27th September to Friday 10th December) regular termtime courses can restart.
The ability of The Bridge to reopen and continue offering the community based facilities it does is due in no small part to Government Covid funding grants, funding from Creative Darlington and support from Darlington Borough Council.
This timetable for reopening is subject to no further changes to the dates given in the Government "Roadmap" announced on 22nd February which sets out when various activities can restart - see COVID-19 Response - Spring 2021 (Summary) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) In particular, that the date of Monday 21st June when it is hoped that all limits on social contact and distancing can be lifted does not change.
Everyone involved with The Bridge looks forward to seeing you with us as classes, groups and workshops all restart.Return to News
The Bridge provides a vibrant community led venue to support artists and encourage visual arts involvement for Darlington. Many artists who had a presence at the Darlington Arts Centre can now be found at The Bridge Centre. It is also the home of other arts-based organisations.
